Billie Eilish has shared the secrets behind her dramatic new look after having previously worn a black and green wig.

The No Time To Die singer, 19, wowed the world last month when she unveiled her new blonde hairstyle on Instagram last month without any heads up.

Now the popular music artist has been answering fans' questions on her Instagram Q and A and has unveiled further details about how she covertly achieved her new look.

One fan asked her if she had damaged her hair at all during the bleaching process.

Billie responded: "Honestly so healthy and I wasn't expecting that at all.

"It's actually healthier than it’s been in a longggggggg time".

The Bad Guy singer had posted an image from January 16 showing her with a mousy/redder shade to her hair from the initial start of the process.

She also confirmed that she had indeed worn a wig at the Grammy Awards, posing for an image alongside it.

Ahead of revealing her new look last month, Billie had teased what colour her hair would be, prompting guesses from fans.

However, she eventually posted the new look to Instagram with a caption: "Pinch me."

The image went on to become one of the most liked posts in Instagram history, achieving more than 22million likes.

It has been a successful time for Billie over the last couple of years but a recent crowning glory saw her find further success at the Grammy Awards.

At the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards last month, her title track for the upcoming James Bond film No Time To Die won the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media.
