Why Caitlyn Jenner Wasn't Invited To Kourtney Kardashian's Wedding
Another one of The Kardashians cast members has settled down, as Kourtney Kardashian has tied the knot with her sweetheart, Travis Barker, but a lot of fans are shocked that Caitlyn Jenner wasn't present at the intimate wedding. Earlier this month, in Portofino Italy, Kourtney and Travis got married. The wedding ceremony was quite small, with only a select group of people present to witness the couple's beautiful moment. To the surprise of many fans, Caitlyn wasn't at the nuptials, and viewers want to know why.
After being friends for a couple of years, Kourtney and Travis began dating in January 2021, and they haven't looked back. Over the past year, the lovebirds have been in awe of each other, and they haven't been afraid to show it. The couple decided to get married in Italy, but Caitlyn (who, before her transition, was married to Kris Jenner for 22 years, and has been in Kourtney's life since she was 12) wasn't there to mark the monumental moment with the duo.
According to TMZ, a source declared that Caitlyn wasn't present at the wedding because she wasn't invited. Kourtney and Travis had a small event in mind, and they didn't feel the need to invite Caitlyn. Kourtney didn't seem to think much of the snub, as she said that Caitlyn “simply didn’t make the cut," which shocked Caitlyn. This isn't the first time that Caitlyn has been excluded from a family event. The 72-year-old wasn't offered a contract on the famous family's newest Hulu show. As per Page Six, at the time, Caitlyn said, “Of course no bad blood. I love my family and am thrilled for the show continuing. But I was shocked to learn through the press that I was explicitly excluded from the new show.”
To a lot of fans, it seems like Caitlyn isn't as close to The Kardashians as many people might have thought. In 2017, during a press tour for her book “Secrets of My Life,” Caitlyn made it known to fans that she was no longer spending a lot of time with the family. “I don’t talk to them anymore. Kim and I haven’t talked in a year. They don’t want me in their lives, they bashed me pretty badly. It’s devastating when your kids do that. It really hurt. I don’t know what the future holds. We will see.”
Nonetheless, there are fans who believe that Caitlyn and The Kardashians are starting to get along again. In a recent episode of the “Full Send” podcast, via the Full Send Podcast YouTube channel, she spoke out. Caitlyn stated, “My relationship with the family is, you know, fine. I mean, we do things together, my kids, this and that… Obviously, Kendall and Kylie, my flesh and blood, I’m very close to them. On the Kardashian side, I see them here and there, but I’m not really close. Kim is probably the closest.”
Although the relationship between Caitlyn and The Kardashians is not as warm as it used to be, there is hope. Even though she wasn't able to witness the wedding between Kourtney and Travis, Caitlyn didn't seem to be too bothered about the family's decision to exclude her from the ceremony. She was spotted cheering on Jamie Chadwick as she won her fifth W Series race in a row.
