New Moon Knight Image Shows Alternate Costume for Oscar Isaac
A brand new image from the upcoming Disney+ Marvel series Moon Knight shows the costume for Oscar Isaac's Mr. Knight, one of the hero's personalities.
A new image from Moon Knight debuts a brand new costume for Oscar Isaac. Moon Knight is the next live-action series coming to Disney+ from Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After a robust 2021 that opened on the critically beloved WandaVision and closed with the buzzy Hawkeye, the streaming service seems to have concluded its period of following up on major characters from the early Avengers run and is ready to introduce brand new heroes to fans. Moon Knight is coming to Disney+ on March 30, 2022 to usher in this new era.
The series will introduce Moon Knight, a hero who may or may not just be the manifestation of the dissociative identity disorder of mercenary Marc Spector, played by Oscar Isaac. One of his alternate identities is the peaceful British shop employee Steven Grant, but that life begins to crumble around him when he starts channeling the Egyptian god Khonshu. The series also stars Ethan Hawke as cult leader Arthur Harrow, along with May Calamawy, Lucy Thackeray, and French actor Gaspard Ulliel in one of his final performances as Midnight Man.
Today, Empire unveiled an exclusive image revealing an alternate costume for the Moon Knight character. This costume belongs to yet another personality, Mr. Knight, a more upscale and friendly version of the tortured hero. The costume is an entirely grey design that is rather reminiscent of Deadpool's mask rendered in grayscale over a well-pressed suit. Check out the full image below:
The six-episode limited series was created by The Umbrella Academy's Jeremy Slater. It was directed by Mohamed Diab and partners Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead from scripts by Beau DeMayo, Danielle Iman, and Alex Meenehan. Although filming largely took place in Marvel's studio in Atlanta, several on-location scenes were filmed in Jordan and Hungary, allowing the character to globetrot, who will certainly gain a sudden interest in Egyptology if he doesn't have it already, more than may have been initially expected.
With this image, Moon Knight reveals that it is already wholly willing to commit to the comic book absurdities of its premise. Their commitment to providing a new and dazzling design for each iteration of the character is allowing the live-action series to channel the original artistic sensibility of the illustrated Moon Knight. With just a month and a half before the series premieres, it is highly likely that fans will be able to get a glimpse of even more of these costumes as trailers and first-look photos reveal even more glimpses of the contents of the series.
