Survivor: What Happened To Amanda Kimmel After Season 16 Micronesia

Amanda Kimmel competed in three seasons of Survivor before retiring from the show. Here is everything she has been doing since Survivor: Micronesia.

Amanda Kimmel is known for her many strategic moves in Survivor, but the 37-year-old has not been on the show in 12 years. Amanda is one of the few contestants to compete on three seasons of Survivor, though she never snatched the title of Sole Survivor and $1,000,000. Here is everything Amanda has been up to since her time on Survivor.

Amanda first competed in season 15, Survivor: China, back in 2007. The former Miss Montana USA played a strategic game as she worked to flush out idols and blindside the biggest threats to her game. She made it all the way to final three, but only received one vote to win, ultimately losing to Todd Herzog. Amanda then took part in the next season of Survivor, the first Fans vs. Favorites, which is now airing on Netflix. She made Survivor history by making it to final tribal council two different times, but she lost again, this time to Parvati Shallow.

Amanda and fellow favorite Ozzy Lusth had one of the greatest showmances in Survivor history during season 16. They formed a couples alliance that turned into a real relationship, with Ozzy confessing that he was falling in love with her at Final Tribal. However, soon after the reunion premiered, Ozzy and Amanda had ended their relationship. Though Amanda's relationship with Ozzy was over, her relationship with the game of Survivor was still going strong, as she went back to compete in a third season.

Amanda made her last appearance on season 20, Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains in 2009, where she played as one of the heroes. It was her worst performance, as it was her first time ever getting voted out and she became a member of the jury. After that, Amanda vowed she would never play Survivor again, and so far she has kept that promise. It seems that Amanda has left the reality TV world behind and has opted to keep a low profile ever since.

Amanda married Matt Cooper in 2015 and the pair have been happily married ever since, with two young children. She was living in Los Angeles all during her time filming three seasons of Survivor, and is likely still living there with her family. She has deleted all of her social media accounts, though at one point she had an Instagram and Twitter. Many fans miss seeing Amanda on their screen, trying to outwit, outplay, and outlast everyone else on Survivor. Hopefully Amanda will rejoin the Survivor community soon like Parvati has, whether it is for a new season or just sharing her thoughts on new players.
